As many times as I’ve created a vignette with a mask, it only dawn on me today that the circle effect can also be used to create a circular vignette (and saved as a nifty preset.) Simply invert the circle, twirl open feather and soften the edges. This works well directly on a layer or on an adjustment layer.
Download a CS4 FFX file for the vignette here. Or look at the settings below.

I’d like to give it a try, but the link’s not working …. ;-(
well then be brave and do it yourself^^ effect>generate>circle on a solid layer. play around. its like the easiest effect of all^^
Fixed.. plus added a screen cap of the settings.
old, a good trick
can you share your color(ing) setting for this still…
It was just a few adjustments to the default settings of Magic Bullet Mojo:

thanks…
Thanks! Very helpful.
Thats awesome thats how I always do my vig, its alot faster than using the plugin too when it comes to rendering.
What if I fant oval vignette? Mask work better for me.
Then you add a mask and go that route. It’s like there needs to be a simple vignette effect that has horizontal/vertical control huh?
